At Zimkids, we’ve learned something simple but powerful: lasting change happens when children have consistent support. That’s why we call our monthly donors Shamwaris - steady friends who walk alongside our children as they grow.

Regular gifts do far more than meet urgent needs. They allow us to plan ahead, hire staff, keep classrooms open, secure food, provide safe homes, and commit to every child for the long journey, not just in a moment of crisis.

Celebrating 15 Years of life-changing stability

This Christmas, we’re celebrating the impact of that steady support through the extraordinary story of the Chiropa triplets: Patonia, Partner and Patmore. In 2010, the three brothers had already lost both parents. They were young, alone, and without stability, no school, no home, and no hope for the future.

Then they met Zimkids. And because people like you chose to become Shamwaris, everything changed.

With regular support, the boys received food, shelter, mentoring, school fees, and most importantly the chance to dream again.

Patonia has graduated with an Honours degree in Development Studies and now works as a business developer and accounting assistant.

Partner recently completed his degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering and received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for academic excellence.

Patmore is thriving at Teacher Training College, following his calling to inspire the next generation.
